School/Work Stress

Children  |  Teenagers  |  Adults

How we can help

Through active listening and empathetic understanding, I collaborate with clients to identify specific stressors, whether they be academic performance expectations, workplace dynamics, or interpersonal challenges.

I employ a range of therapeutic techniques, including stress management strategies, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and mindfulness practices, to help individuals develop coping mechanisms for dealing with school or work-related stress. By addressing both the cognitive and emotional aspects of stress, I assists clients in changing negative thought patterns, enhancing resilience, and promoting overall well-being. Moreover, I will work with individuals to establish healthy work or study habits, time management skills, and effective communication strategies to navigate and mitigate stressors effectively.

Additionally, I recognizes the importance of addressing the potential impact of stress on other areas of life. Through a holistic approach, I collaborate with clients to explore work-life balance, self-care practices, and coping strategies that extend beyond the academic or professional realm. By empowering individuals with practical tools and emotional support,  I help them manage school or work-related stress more effectively, fostering a healthier and more sustainable approach to academic and professional challenges.

Trauma Psychotherapy

Trauma faced during your childhood can have long lasting impacts. Whether you experienced psychological abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, neglect, sexual assault (historical and present), domestic violence, witnessed a catastrophic event (i.e. a violent accident). The individual often manifests symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or in some circumstances where trauma is long standing and chronic, Complex-PTSD. Survivors of trauma need a safe holding environment whereby they can feel psychologically safe to explore their trauma and release it. As a trauma-informed-therapist my goal is to utilize interventions which address how trauma is “held” in the body using Trauma-Informed-Psychotherapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Inner family systems therapy, and elements of Somatic Experiencing.
