I was born in Scarborough and raised in Maple, Ontario and went to King City High School. I lost my two best friends in high school at a young age and discovered I wanted to be a therapist, as emotions were a taboo then. I completed my Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in Human Services & Social Service Worker at Tyndale University, North York, ON.

I then completed my Masters of Arts (M.A.) in Community and Clinical Mental Health Counselling at the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan, U.S. I have experience working with strictly court mandated clients during my experience in Detroit, Michigan coming from a population of diverse backgrounds.
